One of my earliest creations, this liahona was fashioned from a brass incense burner my parents had picked up when we lived in Thailand. Originally it had a fish sculpture on top but I replaced that with a decorative lamp topper I found. The holder was a gift from my wife and I think was originally was a candle holder from a craft store.
Now, I know that there is no indication that there was a "pointy thing" on top of the "brass ball" but I think it looks cool and there was a hole up there I had to cover up.
