The Book of Mormon is an ancient record of God's dealings with his people in ancient America (about 2300 B.C. to about A.D. 400). It was brought forth and translated by the gift and power of God through a modern prophet of God - Joseph Smith. It's a book filled with real people who, although from another time, have similar struggles to those we face today. It's wonderful to have an additional testiment to God's word to those ancient inhabitants of the old world.
